    Weekly Chomp 06/28

To Long Don’t Read (TLDR): The Swimmers of the Week are Giuliana Cornwell and Mark Topalyan. Remember we DO NOT have practice on Thursday, July 4th.

    Swimmer of the Week:

    Giuliana Cornwell

Giuliana is a competitive and dedicated swimmer. At practice, Giuliana can always be counted on to be working hard and setting a good example for her teammates. At meets, her competitive spirit and desire to win, makes her a key part of relays and the whole CCH team! This past meet, she helped her relay team win their race with a monstrously fast 25 butterfly which caught and passed her opponent! Keep racing hard, Giuliana!!!

    Mark Topalyan

Mark is a deliberate and thoughtful swimmer. He is always asking how to do better and swim faster. Mark is a swimmer that can always be counted on to show up in a big race, and never backs down to competition. This past Mark dropped a lot of time and chased down an opposing swimmer in a race. On top of being a great competitor, Mark showsZ great sportsmanship and is very kind to his fellow teammates. Keep up the great work Mark!!!

    Other Standout Swims:

Boys 8U Medley Relay (Datu Manansala, Theo Cullen, Zander Manguikian, and Dominic Cornwell): These boys crushed the relay at the Divisional Relay Carnival on Wednesday. Not only did they win their event, but they also qualified for the NVSL All Star Relays! A special shoutout to Datu and Zander for swimming best times. Keep pushing each other boys!!

Mae Harris: Mae is a kind and supportive teammate! One thing I always notice about Mae is that she is always smiling! No matter the weather, the race, or the conditions, she is joyful and spreads smiles around her. This past Saturday, she had a stellar 25 breaststroke, with a huge time drop and an awesome race!! Keep smiling, Mae!!!

Camlin Bohn: Camiln had phenomenal races in the 25 free and the 25 back! Not only did she drop a lot of time, but she also tried her very hardest and really improved her technique. It was awesome to see all of her hard work and effort pay off. Keep working hard, Camlin!

Boy 15-18 Medley and Free Relays (Ben Oogletree, Matt Darnell, Everett Bryk, Connor McNeely): Our 15-18 Boys 200 Free and Medley Relay team comprised of Ben Oogletree, Matt Darnell, Everett Bryk, and Connor McNeely went undefeated at the Divisional Relay Carnival on Wednesday. Their collective dedication and focus on their swimming were extremely important to their success. Thank you for your leadership boys!!
